Here is some information to help you understand how our products are tested and how to protect them so that you can feel just as confident.
First of all, it’s essential to note that not all awnings are created equal, and the expertise of your installer matters. We only offer high-quality retractable awning systems that are designed with wind resistance in mind, ensuring they can withstand various weather conditions. Additionally, our installers have over 35 years of combined experience and unmatched attention to detail.
While our products have been designed and tested to withstand strong winds, we’ll always recommend that you retract your awning during gusty storms. Keep an eye on the weather forecast for your area, being especially mindful of potential microbursts. We like to tell our customers, “If the weather is too extreme for you to enjoy being outside, your awning doesn’t want to be exposed either!” Think of it like putting on a seatbelt when driving; you may not need it every time you drive, but it's not worth the risk to go without. Retracting your awning in strong winds and other extreme weather is a simple precaution that will ensure it stays in prime condition, ready to provide shade and shelter when you need it most.
